Save the Crash..

There are many things in life we need to learn to save and respect in time. Save the crash is when you realise that you could’ve saved somethings truly worth before they turn into a crash.  He opened his eyes to a blur. He could see shattered glass pieces lying around his face. A wrecked car at a distance, a few pair of feet running towards him. Car horns, people shouting, chaos around him. Amongst all this, all he could see was some colours and hear some voices in his head which were slowly more audible. He could hear them fight, he could hear her cry. He could now hear only her voice clearly, shouting at him, but still her voice calmed him. Lying down right there he only wished to hear her shout, cry, scold anything. He always knew he wanted her back. The blood flowing from his forehead now entered his eyes, some figures in red nearing him. ‘Damn the Alcohol!!’

They say alcohol brings out the real you,does it? It actually does. It’s just human to blame it on the high and get out of the situation. Damn the alcohol is when you realise the real you and innocent alcohol is damned for the same.  The time stood still, it was midnight, the bottle of wine had only about a glass left in it. Two empty glasses, a little red at the bottom, sat beside it. With dim yellow lighting around they sat in front of each other, talking for hours now, sipping on red wine. The dim lights just added to the wine’s high. Only half of his face was visible in that light. ‘Damn he is looking so handsome right now’, Meera thought to herself. Unaware that he too was admiring her beauty.  They laughed and talked more about life, love, friends, work etc. This was the best part, even after spending many hours of their lives together, they still had a lot to share and receive from each other, and they did every chance they got. ‘Oh fuck Mornings!!’

For all those who lack the experience of ‘oh fuck mornings’; these are the mornings when you come back to your senses and then say the two holy words ‘oh fuck!’ once or multiple times. That is the exact time you know you have to clean up for a lot from last night.  It was a new morning. Meera got up, gave a nice stretch to her back. Her eyes finally got some light. Only half the bed had the sheets on, windows and curtains were shut close, her dress was in one corner of the room with a leather jacket next to it. The jacket had scratches on it.Astonished, Meera looked at her nails not knowing her nails could do that. Looking down she then realised she only had her inners on. She heard someone move in the hall. At lightening speed she picked up a blanket, covered herself, closed the bedroom door, locked it and then there were the magical words “oh fuck!”.
